Healing Children of Conflict heals families and communities by facilitating medical treatment for children seriously wounded in conflicts involving the United States, and thereby educates others about the root causes of those conflicts in order to prevent their recurrence.

Thanks to everyone who joined us to hear Dr. Izzeldine Abuelaish, a doctor from Gaza who uses his work as a healer to build reconciliation among Palestinians and Israelis. See the Events page for details.

3/21: HCC member Bert de Vries spoke at Pillar CRC.

3/3: HCC is supporting Sayed Abdullah, a young boy from Afghanistan, who will receive initial treatment in India.

1/28: HCC invited Father Elias Chacour, peacemaker and archbishop of the Carmelite church in Galilee, to speak at St. Nicholas Church in Grand Rapids. For more on the event, see the Past Events page.

Salee Allawe was injured during a 2006 American airstrike, losing both her legs. Healing Children of Conflict is raising funds to outfit Salee with new prosthetics as she continues to heal and grow.
